We might think peace is between countries and governments. but it's not.
When the world is at war, we are in a war state of being.
When the world is in chaos, we experience life in chaos.
Because we are the world, and the world is us, each and every one of us.

You see, we are all connected.

In 2009 my song "Tunisia" has become the anthem of the Jasmine Revolution in Tunisia.
My parents were born in Tunisia and made moved to Israel in 1952.
As an Israeli, my request for a visa to enter Tunisia was declined since 2009.
I was invited to concerts, but I couldn't get in.

Two weeks ago, I was elated to find out my visa to Tunisia was issued in Ramallah.
I got on the plane a couple of days after and enter to Tunisia on my Israeli blue passport. The officer at Djerba International Airport thought he is not seeing right. No Israeli visited Tunisia for a long time.
I slipped in.

Words can't express. photos will be too pale.
For the first time, I experienced first-hand through my own eyes the legend my mom told me over and over again since I was a child, of a place where Muslims and Jews dance in one circle.

I was welcomed in peace by the Tunisians. On the third day I performed at the square of El Ghriba synagogue, one of the oldest in the world that was built after the destruction of the first temple.
I saw Jews and Muslims dance together in one circle. I SAW peace.

I just wanted you to make you happy and let you know that peace is very near and a new era had started today.

אנחנו אולי חושבים ששלום הוא בין מדינות וממשלות. אבל זה לא.

מילים לא יכולות לבטא. תמונות תהיה חיוורות מדי.
בפעם הראשונה, חוויתי ממקור הראשון דרך העיניים שלי את האגדה שהאמא שלי אמרה לי שוב ושוב מאז שהייתי ילד, ממקום שבו מוסלמים ויהודים ריקוד במעגל אחד.

אני היה בברכה בשלום על ידי תוניסאית. ביום השלישי שבוצעתי בכיכר של Ghriba אל בית הכנסת, אחד העתיק ביותר בעולם שנבנה לאחר חורבן בית המקדש הראשון.
ראיתי יהודים ומוסלמים רוקדים ביחד במעגל אחד. אני ראיתי בשלום.
